Philemon
Philemon Appiah is a Medical Physicist at the National Radiotherapy Oncology and Nuclear Medicine Centre, Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Accra, Ghana. He applies principles of physics to ensure the safe, accurate, and effective use of radiation in radiotherapy, oncology, and nuclear medicine. His duties include radiation therapy treatment planning and dose verification; quality assurance, calibration, and commissioning of radiotherapy and imaging equipment; implementation of radiation protection and safety programs; and technical support for clinical operations. Through close collaboration with radiation oncologists, radiographers, and other healthcare professionals, he contributes to the delivery of high-quality patient care and the continuous improvement of radiation-based medical services.
