Mr. Bismark Djan is a clinically certified medical physicist who is also a member of the Allied Health Professions Council, Ghana.
Mr. Djan earned his B.Sc. in Physics (major in Biomedical Physics) degree in 2014 from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, and then went on to the Graduate School of Nuclear and Allied Sciences at the University of Ghana, where he earned a Master of Philosophy degree in Medical Physics in 2018.
Mr. Bismark Djan is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Medical Physics at the University of Ghana’s Graduate School of Nuclear and Allied Sciences. He is also the Ghana Health Service’s Western Regional Representative for Medical Physics.
Furthermore, Mr. Djan is the head of Medical Physics and the radiation protection officer (RPO) at Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital in Sekondi. Prior to this position, he worked as a medical physicist at Sweden Ghana Medical Center Ltd. (SGMC) after completing his two-year clinical training there.
Finally, he aims to be a prominent medical physicist in Ghana and contribute to the training of young medical physicists.
