Dr Ernest Kojo Eduful, is an established staff of the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission (GAEC), attached to the Radiological and Medical Science Research Institute (RAMSRI). He is a registered Medical Physicist in Good standing with the Allied Health Professions Council which certifies him to practice as a Clinical Medical Physicist in Ghana, he has at least nine (9) years working experience as a Medical Physicist.
Dr Eduful performs medical Physics functions at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital which includes performing the various quality control on the various Nuclear medicine equipment (SPECT-CT machine, Capintec dose calibrator and Laminar flow hood dose calibrator).
He also performs quality control on the various diagnostic radiological equipment (X-ray, CT, Fluoroscopy, Mammography) and non-radiological equipment (MRI, Ultrasound) at the Korle Bu Teaching hospital.
He also undertook his masters’ of Philosophy in Medical Physics thesis work at the Nuclear medicine centre on the thesis topic: Assessment of Scintigraphic Image quality in SPECT using Jaszczak Phantom and MatLab at the Korle – Bu Teaching Hospital where he extensively used the SPECT-CT for his findings.
Dr. Ernest Kojo Eduful has also been on selected by the Ghana Atomic Energy commission on behalf of the Ghanaian government to represent Ghana in several International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) training programs for Clinical Medical Physicists.
In November 2021, Dr. Ernest Kojo Eduful successfully defended his doctoral thesis on “Determination of Standard Reference Liver Volume Model of an Adult Ghanaian for Clinical Applications and Dose Optimisation at the University of Cape Coast, Ghana.
